A Short YouTube Video explaining the Cookie law
This site uses cookies via Google Analytics for the purpose of recording traffic, I don’t know anything about the user other than simple facts like Browser type, Operating System, screen resolution etc. As it stands, tracking the visitors is simply a measure of the volume of readers, which can be analysed in a variety of ways, harmless! Apparently it is now illegal to set a cookie on a client machine without receiving prior consent, to do this involves more work, it is more intrusive than the cookie itself, and like most laws which start off in the EU as a directive, a bloody nuisance. I suggest recording your irritation at this EU nonsense by signing a petition on change.org. There is a host of information on the web about this new law and I found this pdf by Oliver Emberton of Silkide
Clearly, if you object to Cookies go no further, in time I may add an opt-in button, or some other device to bring the site in line with the Cookie requirements!
