The Nodding Gables, currently a Halifax Branch
A weekend in the Cotswolds gave me the opportunity to do some local scenes, and where better than Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, sadly Saturday’s weather was less than favourable, but by Sunday morning it had turned around and a walk around the old Abbey and along the streets full of old timbered buildings was delightful in the morning sunshine.
The Former “Ye Olde Hat Shoppe”
My mind wandered back to the overhead news footage of Tewkesbury taken during the flooding a couple of years back, where the Abbey stood on an island surrounded by brown muddy water. It seems that much of the gardens are only now back to their former glory, having been under in some place a great depth of water. What the rising waters did to the properties must have been dreadful.

Anyway here are three local buildings that I have produced, in black and white which reflects the mood of the old town. I produced them as A4 prints, which when I finally get the Parlington Gallery web site finished will be available on-line.
