I stated some months ago about offering prints of my photographic work on a new site called Parlington Gallery at www.parlington.biz. Initially the site was set up to display some local landscape paintings done by Anthony Christian who lives nearby, and to this date these are all that are on the site. I also suggested that a computer generated 3D model of the triumphal Arch was nearing completion; this has proved slightly problematic as the rendering side needs to be done in a series of tiles to make up the large image required for a paper print. The file sizes are in excess of 200MB so are quite unwieldily, and thus far the tiling keeps breaking down! So the print is on the blocks while the issue is resolved.
The delay in setting up the site with my photography work is due to me being asked to join a colleague in a joint venture looking at a variety of new processes using photographic material. The two pictures here are my photographs on low iron glass (this gives a clear view without the inherent green cast seen in float glass). The images are printed in reverse and backed up with a special white coating that seals the surface. The two pictures are A3 in size and give the images a richness that cannot be achieved in a paper print. Unfortunately the full effect does not come across in the small pictures here, but believe me they are stunning, and already a number of orders have been received. The glass can be holed to mount on stainless steel fixings and toughened. Used in large panels it makes fantastic shower panels, and they can be used for splash backs in the kitchen etc. Also in large panels they make great partitions in offices, similar to the use of etched glass panels.
Let me know if you would like some further information.
